Durham Pointers are here to help.
Whatever your reason for coming to Durham - perhaps you’re a tourist, here on business, studying or live nearby - we will do our best to enhance your visit.
We are a group of local volunteers who love our city, know it well and are proud of its rich history. We can help you to find your way around and provide you with information about the city and it’s treasures.
You’ll find a little bit of information on our website, but for much more you can find us in Durham City Market Place throughout the summer, whatever the weather. Just look out for our pink tabards and don’t be shy to ask us for directions, advice, or anything you need help with.

We’ll be in Durham City Market Place from Easter to early October:
Week days - 9.30am-3.30pm, Saturday 10.00-14.00, Sunday 11.00-15.00

Note that during the Pointers' summer season, from Easter to early October, our phone will be manned during operational hours, ie when Pointers are on duty. For the rest of the year it will be monitored and messages will be picked up regularly.
